Response Vehicle Replacement Project

Our original response vehicle

This response vehicle was purchase many years ago, thanks to donations from our community. It has served our team well, but is now due a replacement and something more modern.


The project to replace the vehicle  started in Spring 2024, with fundraising starting shortly after...

August 2024:

Another CFR scheme from  the West Midlands reached out about a response vehicle they were replacing to assist our project. 

Their vehicle was deemed a suitable upgrade to ours, and a plan was agreed to purchase their vehicle.

September 2024:

 We collected the replacement vehicle from Staffordshire and drove it back to Ross-on-Wye.

 Removal of the old style livery began, ready for the national CFR livery to be applied.


October 2024:

The old livery has been removed. 

We are awaiting designs and quote for the replacement livery to be applied. 

Old communication equipment is being removed. 

November 2024:


Design has been approved and booked in for fitting in early December.

December 2024:

Livery fitting booked and transfer of existing vehicle equipment over to replacement vehicle to take place.

January 2025: 


Vehicle conversion now complete and ready for official launch!


Operational use has already began and enabled our volunteers to reach patients
