I started with the scheme as a Supporter & have progressed to a CFR in 2022.
Having worked for WMAS for the past few years and qualified as a paramedic in 2024, it made sense for me to respond on my days off where possible.
Helping the community is a big passion of mine. The CPR sessions we run are a great way to share the knowledge we have and spreading the awareness that helps save lives.
Leigh-Ann
One of our newest operational CFRs. Leigh-Ann has been with our team for since 2024.

My journey as a Supporter started back in 2019, with my advanced first aid qualifications. After two years under my belt as a Charity Supporter, I became a fully fledged CFR!!
It would be impossible to say there have not been challenges, because there has. But what I have found since I joined the scheme is almost as sort another family outside of family!! Through there are difficult jobs that you can get called out to, there are many, many people around you to support you in the best possible way.
In short, the best decision I made was joining the Ross-On-Wye scheme!

I started as a CFR back in 2012, and still actively respond today.
Although i was a CFR initially, I progressed through the ambulance service, and now work as a Paramedic with WMAS.
My passion is community response, and sharing the importance of how bystanders are a key link in the chain of survival.
I teach, mentor and respond both in my full time job, and volunteering in my free time.
